Short Resume of Rev. Seiso Paul C. Cooper

Rev. Seiso Chugai Paul C Cooper, a dedicated and esteemed figure at the convergence of Soto Zen Buddhism and psychoanalytic therapy.

Background:

Rev. Seiso Chugai Paul C Cooper is a formally transmitted teacher in the Soto Zen lineage of Dainin Katagiri, Roshi. He holds significant affiliations, including being a full member of the Soto Zen Buddhist Association and the American Zen Teacher’s Association.

As a co-founder and former guiding teacher at Two Rivers Zen Community in Narrowsburg, N.Y., and Lincoln Zen Center in Lincoln, Nebraska, Rev. Cooper has been an influential figure in the realm of Zen practice. He is also the founder of the Realizational Practice Studies Group in Montpelier, Vermont.


Accomplishments:

With a robust educational background and vast teaching experience, Rev. Cooper has contributed significantly to the field. He has served as a faculty member at the Contemplative Studies Project in New York City and the Nalanda Institute for Contemplative Psychotherapy, as well as the California Institute for Integral Studies.

He has held positions as the former Dean of Training and a senior member at the National Psychological Association for Psychoanalysis (NPAP). Rev. Cooper is also a respected faculty member, training analyst, and supervisor at the Institute for Expressive Analysis and the Metropolitan Institute for Training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.

Rev. Seiso Chugai Paul C Cooper is an award-winning author known for influential publications that bridge the gap between Zen Buddhism and psychoanalytic therapy. Some of his notable works include:
