Unduvap Full Moon Day is considered by Sri Lankan Buddhists to be of special significance because emperor Dharmashoka’s daughter Theri Sanghamitta brought with her and her retinue a Bodhi sapling to Anuradhapura from Buddhagaya. To mark this auspicious occasion, Bhante Sujato – the Cofounder of suttacentral.net (Sydney, Australia) will offer a Dhamma sharing on “Venerable Sanghamitta Theri & the Bhikkhuni Lineage“.

The first teaching given by the Buddha after attaining Enlightenment is called Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta (Setting in Motion the Wheel of the Dhamma). Bhante Sumitta, the Founder of Dhamma USA (California, USA) will offer a Dhamma Sermon on this Sutta while exploring the basic principles of the wheel of the Dhamma – practicing the Eightfold Path of Sīla, Samādhi & Paññā. Walk on the Path of Liberation from all suffering and experience real peace and happiness setting in motion the wheel of the Dhamma.
