Neelam Oswal, PhD (Clinical Psychologist – Institute of Psychological Health (IPH), Pune | Lecturer, Buddhist Psychology, Pali & Buddhist studies department, Sawitribai Phule Pune University)

Neelam Oswal is trained as a Clinical Psychologist during her M.Phil in Medical & Social Psychology from Central Institute of Psychiatry, Ranchi, India. Since 1999 she has worked as a Clinical Psychologist in rural and urban areas of Maharashtra, India.

After her exposure to Vipassana Meditation as taught by SN Goenka in the tradition of U Ba Khin she started exploring commonalities and differences between main stream Psychology and Buddhist Psychology and their contribution to each other. A result of this empirical and theoretical research has been a Diploma course in Theravada Buddhist Psychology and Psychotherapy. It is being offered by SP Pune University since 2015.
