Prof. Siva Nagi Reddy‘s Short Resume

Sivanagi Reddy, Emani, underwent a 4 year Training in Traditional Sculptural and Architecture at Tirupati. Took Master of Arts Degree in Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology from Osmania University. Awarded the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in History from Hyderabad Central University.

 Joined Govt. Service in 1978 in the Department of Archaeology & Museums, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.  Successfully transplanted more than 100 historical temples and built more than 100 New Temples all over Andhra Pradesh as per the Silpa and Agama Sastras. Participated in many Archaeological excavations and took up conservation of select Kakatiya Temples in Telangana. He was conferred with the title ‘Vastusilpavachaspati’ by Padma Shri Dr. V. Ganapati Sthapati. Received highest award ‘Kalaratna’ from Govt. of AP in 2019.

Worked as Director at the National Institute of Tourism & Hospitality Management, Gachibowli and after his retirement in 2013 April, joined as Director, State Gallery of Art, Madhapur, Hyderabad and in APTDC as OSD(Art and Culture) holding full additional charge OSD, Silparamams, AP. Prof. Reddy wrote and edited many books (100 books and 500 articles) on History, Culture, Archaeology, Buddhism and Tourism. Currently, he is working as CEO, Pleach India Foundation, formerly the Cultural Centre of Vijayawada & Amaravati established Malaxmi Group of Companies.
