Brief Resume of Venerable Unaliye Sirinanda
(PhD Research Scholar|University of the West)
My name is Unaleeye Sirinanda, a Buddhist monk originally from Sri Lanka. I became a Buddhist novice monk when I was 14 years old in 1999 and received higher ordination in 2004. In 2014, I moved to the United States. At first, I rendered my service at Austin Buddhist center in Texas, then at Los Angeles Buddhist Vihāra in California where I’m living right now.
Education
- Pracheena Pandith Degree (2008) from the Oriental Studies Society of Sri Lanka
- Bachelor of Arts degree (2009) from University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka
- Master of Arts degree (2010) from Post Graduate Institute of Pāli and Buddhist Studies, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka
- Master of Arts degree (2013) International Buddhist College, Thailand
- Currently reading for the PhD at university of the West, Rosemead, California.
