Venerable Dr. Visārada
Venerable is a chief monk of Sarsana Yaung Chi Association at Johor, Malaysia and Save the Novice Association at Yangon, Myanmar.
| Venerable Dr. Visarada is a Theravada Buddhist monk and was born in 1978 at Yanbyee Township in Rakhine state, Western Myanmar. He has passed matriculated exam in 1995 and become a monk since then. He graduated B.A (Myanmar) in 2002 from Dagon University, Yangon Division, Myanmar. He had been Abbot in Dhamma Visara and Ma Yauk Chain Monasteries at Yanbyee from 2003 to 2008. Venerable has received M.A Degree from University of Kelaniya (Srilanka) in 2011. He has been awarded Ph.D Degree from the said University in 2018 by submission the dissertation of A Critical Study of Nimitta in Myanmar. He had been appointed an editor of Lankatataman Magazine which has been organized and published by a group of Myanmar Student Monks studying in Srilanka. Venerable is a chief monk of Sarsana Yaung Chi Association at Johor, Malaysia and Save the Novice Association at Yangon, Myanmar. He has founded Dhamma Yeik Thwin International Meditation Center (DYT) at Helgu Township, Yangon, Myanmar in 2014. Venerable has been an assistance professor in Intakaw Buddhist University, Bago Division as well as a leader of Arakan Buddhist University Foundation, Sittwe in Rakhine State so far. Venerable is a meditation master and runs one week meditation retreat and two months meditation retreat occasionally at DYT. He also conducts on line mediation program monthly. |
